Term 2 maths reflection.
5/7/19
The first thing we did this term in maths was Perimeter.
We learnt that perimeter was the outside fence of a
shape. Then we learnt that you plus the side numbers
together and KAPOW! you have your answer. Then we
did area. We learnt that area is you times the height
by the width and then you have your answer. Then we
did angles. We first learnt every type of angle such as
Acute,Obtuse, Straight,Right and Reflex. Then we learnt
the degrees. Like how a straight angle is an angle of 180
degrees. And a right angle is a 90 degree angle.
A reflex is an angle less than 360 degrees but
more than 180 degrees. An obtuse angle is an angle
more than 90 degrees and less than 180. An acute
angle is an angle between 0 and 90 degrees. Then we
moved onto how to use a protractor. After that we
did Statistics we started with bar graphs. We use
bar graphs everyday in T4 because we record our
basic fact results and times with them. Then we
moved onto stem and leaf graphs. I had no idea
what a stem and leaf graph was at first but
everyone seemed to learn quickly. Then we
learnt about how to read a pie graph. We
haven't learnt how to draw one yet but we
watched a Khan Academy video showing us
how. That's as far as we got in maths in term 2.
I can’t want to see what we do next term.
