What is a enlargement? An enlargement is  where you have a small picture and you enlarge to make it bigger.  We had to make enlargements of any cartoon character of your choice. I chose Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.   The first thing you need to do for a enlargement is to find a image of your choice. Then you need to do is find your scale factor. Then you need to start square by square on your image.  I found this very hard because I am not very patient. If I was to do this again I would just try and manage my time better so I could finish my colouring.

This week my reading group has been reading a non fiction book called Global Warming- A New Battle for Kiribati. I learnt what Kiribati is and what Global Warming is and also where the Kiribati people are going. 1: Kiribati is a island that is slowing getting shrunk by Global warming. 2: Global warming. Global warming is where the snow in the North and South pole is melting and is causing the water to rise and islands to shrink. 3: The Kiribati people are going to Fiji when there island gets closer to being an ex island. For my must do I did another persons perspective and I chose the kids on the island's perspective.

Toy Story 4

 Have you seen Toy Story 4? Well today I'm going to tell you why I think everyone should go check it out! See what you think.

On the First  Tuesday of the holidays, while our parents were at work, my brother Riley, a family friend and I went to the Regent Theatre to see Toy Story 4. Toy Story 4 came out into theatres on 20th of June 2019. It was completely different to Toy Story 3. It seemed the same at the start but it changed after around 10 minutes and I was surprised. I didn’t think I would like it because I don't really like Toy Story. I would recommend this movie for people over 2 because a 1 year old might not understand it as much as a 2 year old.

The Theatre was very crowded and I think the ticket was worth the 6-7 dollars because it was a good movie. It was also funny and interesting compared to Toy Story 3 & 4. We didn’t get any food because we had just had lunch and we thought we would save our extra money for something afterwards.  

The reason we decided to watch Toy Story 4 was because Riley wanted to see the comparison between all the Toy Story's because when he was younger he would always watch Toy Story movies instead of TV shows.  We were looking after my mum’s friend’s daughter so she came with us. She thought the movie was cool and funny because she has never seen a Toy Story movie before.

I would completely recommend this movie to anyone because I really enjoyed it. If I was to edit this movie I would try and make it longer because it was only 1 hour and 40 minutes long. That is why I think that you should go see Toy Story 4.!

The Big Jump

This week my reading group ( School Journals ) have been reading a book called The Big Jump. This book is about a kid with the nickname of Big Daddy  his real name is  Charlie who is supposed to be the "Toughest kid in school " is too scared of the highest activity at camp. The Flying Fox ride. Then this nice kid called Tim climbs up and goes down with him. I enjoyed this book because it has a funny twist near the end.  For my must do I decided to do the activity where you tell the book by another charters perspective because it seems interesting. I decided to tell it by Big Daddy's perspective.

Jake Bailey | His cancer

Today we had a special surprise visitor at our school for year 6 and up. His name is Jake Bailey. He basically told us his journey through cancer and a few lessons about his life. He told us that he was just a normal 18 year old just on his last end of year exams for school when he just wasn't feeling well. He still went to school and as soon as he got home he jumped into his bed. He told us that the next day he didn't feel like he couldn't stand up. Then he said he started vomiting blood. That sounded creepy to some people.  He said he that he had many tests such as a MRI can he described that as a donut. Then he talked about the blood tests and some other creepy but cool tests he has had. Then he talked about how a lady  that he had never met before walked in and quietly and calmly said that he was diagnosed with cancer. He said he didn't feel sad or anything like that he felt kind of relived that they found what was wrong with him. Then he taught us a few lessons.  He said that he learnt not to stress small things like failing homework or something. He said for us to not worry if something happens and he said be grateful for everything you get. He ended it with a lot of questions for us to ask him
