A special place

Today we have been doing more online school. My class and I have been doing alot of differnt tasks today and one of them was a poem/story on a place that we think is special. I chose my bedroom. I enjoyed this task because we could write about anything we wanted. Enjoy and stay safe!

  1. Hi Hannah

Thanks for sharing you piece of writing about your bedroom with us all. It was great to read. I was a bit worried when you were walking towards what could have been a mouse on the floor! I was wondering what was going to happen! Pleased it wasn't one!
My cat has been catching lots of them at the moment! I get up in the morning and let her outside and she returns with a mouse and leaves in on the mat outside my backdoor! Just great !!
Then yesterday she manages to come inside with one! And its still alive ........

    Keep up the great work!

    Talk again soon

  2. Hey there my old friend Hannah!

How are you and your family doing?

I am glad you enjoyed writing about your special place. I think it is a really sweet little piece of writing. You have managed to get some descriptive adjectives (soft, dirty), interesting verbs (wrapped, buried) and even a dash of onomatopoeia (OW!). Ka pai to mahi/Good work!

    See you soon,

    Mrs Gully

    2. Hey Hannah,
My special place changes all the time as I grow and change too. Right now I am thinking about Yosemite National Park in California, USA. I went there with my family a few years ago and it was awesome. During Autumn it glows orange with all the falling leaves. Try googling it. There are also some amazing documentaries about rock climbing in Yosemite on Netflix. see ya

  3. Kia ora Hannah, What a detailed description of your morning start in the bedroom. My elderly mum's cat brings in mice, birds and even rats-all of which she she chases outside! I like the eye-catching heading and bold font you selected. I do hope the dirty washing is placed in the right place for washing day!
