Split Apple Rock

                             Split Apple Rock
This week for writing we had to choose a famous rock formation. I chose Split Apple Rock. What we had to do is find out information about your rock and present it in a google drawing. I enjoyed this task because I enjoy researching and putting texts into my own words. Next step learning would be to find more information about the rock and use more descriptive words

W.A.L.T: Multiply  2 digit by 1 digit numbers using algorithm

This week for maths we had 2 books if we were in the earth group you got the orange book if you were in the wind/fire group you got the green book. I had the green book we had to do the questions on page 52/53 there were 24 questions I got 22 correct.  I don't like maths that much but am proud of myself for learning to solve these problems.  This strategy makes it easy because you just have to know your times table which I do!

The Three Little Pigs Setting Map

WALT: Describe a setting
Today my writing group had to make a setting map for the three little pigs. For those of you who don't know what the Three Little Pigs is, it's a children's fairy tale. The other groups had different fairy tales.  We had the choice to do the map on our Chromebooks or paper and I chose my Chromebook. I found this task quite easy to do. For a next step learning I think that I could try to make the images with shapes instead of using images of google .

The One and Only Ivan Prediction Poem

WALT:Make predictions to help us understand what we read.

This is my groups poster, poem and prediction about what we think will happen in the book, The one and only Ivan. This task was hard because we had to use the chapter headings from the book and make up a poem using them.  The poem had to tell what we think the book is going to be about. Once we have read the book we are going to do this activity again and see how our ideas have changed.
